Gator Patch for Alligatored Asphalt - 5 Gal Pail

GATOR-PATCH is a ready-to-use blend of asphalt emulsion, mineral fillers, glass fiber, ground rubber and plasticizer. It is very durable for parking lots, driveways, play grounds, walkways, running tracks, tennis courts, etc. In addition to alligator cracked areas, it can also be used to fill shallow depressions or to fill cracks in excess of 1/2" wide in asphalt surfaces.

Designed especially for "Alligator Cracked" asphalt
Less costly than hot mix skin patching

Application: Mix, pour on, and work in with squeegees. Prime old, oxidized surfaces with Tack Cote cut with water (1 part Tack Cote and 6 parts water). Fill depressions over 1/4" deep in multiple applications of no more than 1/4" at a time, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly.

Coverage: Approximately 20-50 sq. ft. per gallon at 1/4" depth. Approximately 150 linear feet per gallon for cracks 1/2" x 1/2".

the product is quite think and I applied it in full sun with temperature above 80 F. Had to work fast. Got 10 gallons applied and I was whipped. Ended up troweling as it got had to spread with squeegee because it started to pick up loose stones that I thought I had eliminated with the blower.

Does not dry

I followed the directions and applied the first coat on an80 degree sunny day and l let it dry for 3 days before applying second coat, let it dry for 4 days before driving on it…I was about to apply sealer on the 7th day, but it rained and it all turned brown and soft again…don’t know what else I could have done, weather was perfect for drying !
